Privacy notice

This notice explains what Galilee Community General Hospital (GCGH) does with the details you give us through this website.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into our contact form or our Diaspora enquiry form: your name, how to reach you (phone, email or WhatsApp), your district and village if you choose to give them, and your message. The Diaspora form also asks which country you live in, how many relatives you want to cover and which district they live in, and, if you choose to give them, a relative's name and their relationship to you.

Please do not send medical records or details of anyone's illness through the website. Our team will ask for these safely if they are needed.

What we do with it

Your message is sent by email to the hospital team who handle enquiries. We use your details only to reply to you and to follow up on your enquiry. We do not sell them or share them with anyone outside the hospital, and the website itself does not keep a copy.

Other services this website uses

The map on our home page is provided by Google Maps, so your browser connects to Google when that part of the page loads. Donations go through PayPal, and the WhatsApp button takes you to WhatsApp. Each has its own privacy policy. This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies.

To understand how the website is used, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views and shows which pages are read, roughly which country visits come from, and what kind of device and browser is used. It does not use cookies, does not identify you and does not follow you across other websites. Our web host also keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and to keep the site working.

Your rights

Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you can ask to see the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them.
