During her 28 years carreer

During her 28 years carreer, Ms Ingeborg Horjus watched patients at Meppel hospital Nederland’s leave her lab focusing on the "Ow! That Hurts!" experience. Ms Horjus felt she needed to find a way to change that last memory of the lab, and turn the "OW!" into a "Wow!" In her journey as a volunteer to Uganda at Galilee Community General Hospital, she shared her 28 years’ experience to create a "Wow Laboratory" featuring new CBC machine for the support of the community and other tools including stafftraining during her voluntary work in Uganda.

Ms Ingeborg Horjus is a medical lab expert

Ms Ingeborg Horjus is a medical lab expert with a passion for improving patients' phlebotomy experiences. Throughout her 28 year career, she has seen countless patients leave the laboratory concentrating on their recent "ow" experience. Ms Horjus arrival in Uganda was motivated to change the impression from "ow" to "WOW!" and created a space in our new boratory, complete with new tools used by staff to delight patients. This new experience was dubbed to be considered a best practice.
